This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies English Driving School uses, and how you can control them. It applies to the website www.englishdrivingschool.com and is governed by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), and Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.
Cookies are not programs and cannot execute code or carry viruses.

3. Cookies We Use
We use the following cookies on this platform:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Third Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eds_plan | Strictly necessary | Maintains your authenticated session and controls access to features included in your subscription plan. Contains your user ID and plan level in a cryptographically signed format (HMAC-SHA256). Does not track behaviour. | 30 days (or until logout) | No |
| eds_s | Strictly necessary (session) | Keeps your current visit together across pages, including the page where you arrived and the website that sent you, so that it can be linked to your account if you sign up during this visit. It is deleted when you close the browser. | Session | No |
| eds_origen | Measurement (only if you accept) | Remembers how you first arrived at our website (search engine, another website, campaign or ad, and the first page you visited), so that we can measure which pages and channels bring new students. Set only if you click "Accept & Continue"; removed if you choose "Only essential". | 90 days | No |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics (only if you accept) | Google Analytics: distinguishes visits and measures how the website is used (pages viewed, time on site), in aggregate. | Up to 2 years | Yes (Google) |
| _gcl_au | Advertising (only if you accept) | Google Ads: measures whether a visit that came from one of our ads ends in a purchase (conversion). | 90 days | Yes (Google) |
The analytics, advertising and measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gcl_au and eds_origen) are only set if you click "Accept & Continue" in the cookie banner. If you choose "Only essential", Google Analytics and Google Ads are not loaded at all. We do not use social media tracking cookies.
4. Legal Basis
The eds_plan and eds_s cookies are strictly necessary for the provision of the service you have requested (your logged-in account and your current visit). Under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and Recital 25 of the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. However, you must be informed of their use, which is the purpose of this policy.
The analytics, advertising and measurement cookies are based on your consent, which you give by clicking "Accept & Continue". You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your cookies for this website in your browser: the banner will appear again and you can choose "Only essential".
5. Third-Party Cookies
If you accept cookies, Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) sets the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies listed above, under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). If you do not accept, no third-party cookies are installed by our website. Our payment processors (Redsys, PayPal and Stripe) may set their own cookies on their payment pages when you complete a transaction, and Stripe also does so on the customer portal where you manage your monthly subscription. Those pages are operated entirely by those third parties under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we recommend you review. Because we redirect you to their pages rather than embedding them, none of those cookies are set while you are on our site.
6. How to Control or Delete Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling or deleting the eds_plan cookie will log you out of your account and you will need to sign in again.
